Unsere Vision
Europeans for Climate Association e.V.
Die „Europeans For Climate Association e.V. (ECA)“ setzt sich für klimaneutrales Wirtschaften in Europa ein. Sie wurde im Frühjahr 2020 gegründet und hat ihren Sitz in Heidelberg.
In der ECA engagieren sich Menschen aus unterschiedlichen Bereichen der Gesellschaft wie WissenschaftlerInnen, Medienschaffende, SchauspielerInnen, MedizinerInnen, PsychologInnen, UnternehmerInnen, PhysiotherapeutInnen, DolmetscherInnen, Creative-Consultants uvm. Die MitgliederInnen finden in der „Europeans For Climate Association“ eine ehrenamtlich und gemeinnützig wirkende Gemeinschaft zur Erreichung des klimaneutralen Wirtschaftens in Europa vor.

Europeans for Climate Association e.V.
The “Europeans For Climate Association (ECA)” is committed to climate-neutral business in Europe.
It was founded in spring 2020
and is based in Heidelberg.
People from different sectors of society such as scientists, media representatives, actors, doctors, psychologists, entrepreneurs, physiotherapists, interpreters, creative consultants and many more are involved in the ECA.
In the ”Europeans For Climate Association“ members find a voluntary and non-profit community working to achieve climate-neutral business in Europe.

Die „Europeans For Climate Association e.V.“ verfolgt das Ziel des klimaneutralen Wirtschaftens in Europa. In ihr finden alle Mitglieder eine ehrenamtlich und gemeinnützig wirkende Gemeinschaft zur Erreichung des klimaneutralen Wirtschaftens in Europa vor. Die „Europeans For Climate Association“ ist parteipolitisch unabhängig und bildet eine demokratisch organisierte Ehrenamtsorganisation. Die „Europeans For Climate Association“ ist sowohl national als auch international tätig.
The “Europeans For Climate Association” pursues the goal of a climate-neutral economy in Europe. In it all members find a honorary and non-profit working community to achieve climate-neutrality in Europe. “Europeans For Climate Association” is independent of political parties and is a democratically organised voluntary organisation. The “Europeans For Climate Association” is active both nationally and internationally beyond the borders of the EU.
Die ECA betreibt ihre Aufgaben auf wissenschaftlicher Grundlage. Dazu zählen unter anderem:
- Wir bieten Bildungs- und Fortbildungsangebote im Bereich klimaneutrales Wirtschaften
- Wir suchen die Zusammenarbeit mit Organisationen und Einrichtungen, die gleiche und ähnliche Ziele verfolgen
- Wir initiieren einen europaweiten Wettbewerbes zur Implementierung und Verbreitung des klimaneutralen Wirtschaftens in Europa – den „European Climate Contest (ECC)“
- Wir vertreten den Vereinszweckes insbesondere gegenüber Personen und Organen aus Wirtschaft, Politik, Kunst, Musik, Bildung und Gemeinleben.
The ECA carries out its tasks on a scientific basis. These include, among others:
- We offer education and training in the field of climate-neutral business
- We seek cooperation with organisations and institutions that pursue the same and similar goals
- We are initiating a Europe-wide competition for the implementation and dissemination of climate-neutral business practices in Europe - the “European Climate Contest (ECC)”.
- We represent the purpose of the association in particular towards persons and organs from the fields of economy, politics, art, music, education and community life.

Die Mitglieder / The Members
Im ECA finden sich WissenschaftlerInnen, UnternehmensberaterInnen, JournalistInnen, KommunikationsexpertInnen und BürgerInnen zusammen, die ihre jeweilige Expertise und Engagement zum Wohle des Ganzen einbringen.
The ECA brings together scientists, business consultants, journalists, communication experts and citizens who contribute their respective expertise and commitment for the benefit of the greater good.
Vom Wissen zum Handeln: Wie kann klimaneutrales Wirtschaften gelingen?
Europa hat sich mit dem Green Deal ein klares Ziel gesetzt: Länder, Städte, Kommunen, Unternehmen, Universitäten, Schulen und Haushalte sollen bis spätestens 2050 klimaneutral wirtschaften.
Dieser Aufgabe hat sich die Europeans for Climate Association e.V. verschrieben (Link zu Wie mitmachen) und bietet hierzu u.a. umfangreiche Weiterbildungs- und Qualifizierungsprogramme an.
Diese Angebote richten sich an Firmen und Ausbildungsinstitute, Verantwortliche in Städten und Kommunen, engagierte UnternehmerInnen, BeraterInnen und an interessierte EuropäerInnen, die nach Wegen suchen, klimaneutrales Handeln und Wirtschaften konkret umzusetzen. (Link zu „Was wir machen“)
From knowledge to action: How can climate-neutral management succeed?
With the Green Deal, Europe has set itself a clear goal: countries, cities, municipalities, companies, universities, schools and households should be able to operate climate-neutrally by 2050 at the latest.
The Europeans for Climate Association e.V. has committed itself to this task (link to How to participate) and offers, among other things, extensive further training and qualification programmes.
These offers are aimed at companies and training institutes, those responsible in cities and municipalities, committed entrepreneurs, consultants and interested Europeans who are looking for ways to implement climate-neutral action and business in concrete terms. (Link to "What we do")

Foundation of the “Europeans for Climate Association” as a registered association
2019 Heidelberg Climathon
On October 27. 2019 four of the ECA founding members, all veteran consultants with diverse professional backgrounds such as ecology, health, acting or advertising joined the “1. Heidelberg Climathon” as normal participant to engage with the young hackers and help provide their experiences. The result: Two wins with the shared first price for “Spring UP”, a gamified concept to visualize the effect of climate change on local plants – and the biking app “BikeBuddy” that helps to find pleasant and safe bike routes.
